Education Abroad

A total of sixteen credits may be taken abroad for the major. Students who wish to receive LACS course credit, or credit towards the LACS major or minor for courses taken abroad should first contact Emory College Education Abroad. After you have chosen a program and obtained information about course offerings, you should contact the Director of Undergraduate Studies to determine course equivalencies. Upon return from study abroad, all students are required to submit the following to obtain final course credit: transcripts demonstrating successful completion of the course; syllabi or course plans; and all written work from the course.

Please note: Students who wish to receive credit in another department for any course taken in a study abroad program must obtain approval from that department's Faculty Study Abroad Representative and meet that department's requirements. This includes core courses that fulfill LACS major and minor requirements in the Department of History (HIST 360, HIST 361) and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese (SPAN 300).
